Ty McClellan (she/he/they)
Brooklyn based filmmaker & creative professional with 6+ years experience writing, directing, editing, and coloring in the independent sphere. Her debut feature, Board Games, premiered at the 2022 Malibu International Film Festival. The film was produced fully independently on a budget of $36,000 and was shot on 16mm film.
A queer artist in increasingly hostile times, they are motivated to tell empathetic, humanist stories that challenge audiences and deconstruct societal norms.
As a colorist, she is drawn to bold, striking images that push the boundaries of what modern technology can support. While she possesses all the technical know-how of modern color science, her background in celluloid cinematography is the impetus behind her post-production workflow. Rather than strict dogmatism to industry standards, her color work often aligns with the rule breaking and experimentation of New Hollywood.
